Kashif Yaqub, M.D.Pulmonary & Critical Care Specialist

Dr. Yaqub completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Arizona, Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, where he also served as chief medical resident. During this time, he completed additional training in Quality and Patient Safety at the Phoenix Veterans Affair Medical Center. Dr. Yaqub completed his Pulmonary Medicine fellowship at the prestigious Mayo Clinic where he treated and managed the most challenging pulmonary diseases and conditions. He learned to perform interventional pulmonary procedures during his fellowship including endobronchial ultrasound, navigational bronchoscopy, and transbronchial biopsy. While at the Mayo Clinic, he was also involved in research and has published in various pulmonary journals. He has presented at ATS (American Thoracic Society) and ACCP (American College of Chest Physicians). Dr. Yaqub went on to complete a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He has extensive critical care experience and is well versed with intubations, tracheostomy procedures, central line and chest tube placement, as well as ventilator management.

Dr. Yaqub has been working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic at both Kaiser Permanente and Presbyterian Intercommunity Health Medical Centers. He has also had the privilege of working with medical residents and fellows at these facilities.

His interests include treating asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, and post-COVID conditions. Dr. Yaqub strives to provide the most advanced treatment options available using evidence-based medicine. He believes that the best outcomes are achieved when patients actively participate in their care.

In his spare time, Dr. Yaqub enjoys playing squash, traveling, and spending time with his family.
